About us
East Birmingham Network Academy is an Alternative Provision Free School for Year’s 9-11 based in Yardley, Birmingham. The Academy was set up by the East Birmingham Network Trust of Schools (listed below) to provide the highest quality education for students in the network who require alternative provision. Our school ethos is “No Loss to Learning – No Child Left Behind – No Excuses” and this drives us to have the highest expectations for all students in terms of academic progress, personal conduct and aspirations for the future.
As an Academy we offer a broad curriculum and the high quality teaching and learning. To ensure accelerated progress for all students class sizes are no larger than 10 and lessons are delivered in purpose designed classrooms. We have a committed team of teachers and pastoral staff who are constantly challenged to deliver the very best experience for all students. Our curriculum offer reflects the recent national changes to GCSE’s and ensures that all students attending the Academy have the chance to leave with the same Academic qualifications as any student attending an outstanding mainstream school.
We offer a diverse and engaging extra-curricular programme based on encouraging students “learn to love” new activities or further their academic studies. In addition to this we work closely with local work-based learning providers to offer vocational opportunities to our students. This coupled with our close links with the local colleges enable us to provide a smooth transition and support for our students into Post-16 education. We work collaboratively with parents/carers to ensure they are fully engaged in their child’s education and greatly value their input and feedback.
We also closely with a number of other stakeholders including the EBN Trust Schools, Birmingham Local Authority and DfE to monitor and evaluate the Academy’s performance and ensure that we are delivering the highest possible standard of education for our students.
